MARTIAL AND FAMILY THERAPY EMPHASIS

The CGI Department of Marital & Family Therapy offers studies examining psychodynamic concepts, cognitive processing, family systems, and social theories. It is a dynamic, modern, therapeutic field of study. MFT students are educated to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals, couples, groups, and families with concerns about interpersonal relationships. The Department offers two degrees:

• Student can elect to select an emphasis in Marital and Family Therapy in either the MA or PsyD degree program which will fullfil the academic requirements for the MFT license in California.
