LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER
The Learning Resource Center (LRC), located at the Westwood facility, supports the Institute’s academic programs and instructional framework through the education of students in online research techniques to identify research materials. Facilities for study and computer use, local collections of psychotherapy reference books, and bound copies of doctoral dissertations produced throughout the Institute’s history are also available.
Internet access to the collections of the University of California and California State University is available through the Orion and Melvyn databases respectively. The LRC also provides research facilities through such World Wide Web sites as Psyclnfo, Medline, and various other behavioral sciences sites.
Standardized psychological tests and information in psychometrics, including directories, manuals, textbooks, and assessment catalogs comprise another important component of the LRC holdings. These measurement materials are available for check out by CGI faculty, students enrolled in assessment courses, and by interns in the CGI Counseling Center. A large collection of audio and video cassettes related to the field of clinical psychology is also available.
