CLINICAL TRAINING
Clinical experience is required by the California Graduate Institute as well as by the California licensing boards for those students seeking licensure. The Director of Clinical Placement provides assistance to students who are seeking an appropriate placement for supervised clinical experience.
The State of California requires that the California Graduate Institute enter into an agreement with all facilities that provide clinical training to our students who are pursuing state licensure hours as MFT trainees or psychological assistants.
Students who are working toward licenses as Psychologists or Marriage and Family Therapists need to consult CGI’s “Guide to Clinical Training” for additional information on the specific license they are pursuing. The booklet is available in the reception area at both the Irvine and Westwood sites.
